What's in my beach bag

Our daughter is finally out of school and summer is officially here. We’ve had a long year and I want to make summer really fun for the kids, filled with fun things to do. While we enjoy our last few weeks in San Francisco I want to take them out and do all the fun things I did growing up like visiting parks, museums, and heading to the beach. We went to the beach a lot as kids and I have so many fun memories of building sandcastles, boogie boarding, and enjoying the sunshine with my family. They’re memories I hope my own kids can make and enjoy as well.

Heading to the beach with 3 kids is a bit of work, but once we’re there it’s so much fun. One of the most important things for our trip is my beach bag, filled with everything I’ll need for the kids while we’re out. From beach toys to swimpants and everything in between – our beach bag is essential. So here’s what I’m packing when we head to the beach:

Swimpants – Huggies Little Swimmers are my go to for our little ones still in diapers. The easy to put on design makes putting the swimpants on easy and the convenient side open helps me get them off with ease. They’re durable, provide great leak protection, and don’t swell when the little ones head into the water. They fit perfectly under swim trunks and swimsuits and they’re not big and bulky. Bonus: The new adorable Disney•Pixar Finding Dory prints are perfect for a trip to the beach.

Beach Toys – I think this is an automatic items, but beach toys for the kids to play with. Buckets, shovels, and anything else the kids would have fun playing in the sand with.

Sunscreen – A good sunscreen is always in our bag and sun protection is really important to me.

Sun Hat – A hat for the baby to help protect her from the sun.

Snacks + Water – Playing in the sand equals hungry kids. Snacks and lots of water to keep them hydrated are always a great idea.

Huggies Natural Care Wipes – Huggies Wipes are always in any bag I have and they come in handy for trips to the beach in case the kids need to clean their hands, faces, or little bums. They’re gentle on the kids skin, but still strong enough for tough messes.

Wet Bag (or Ziplock bags) – To hold wet swimsuits.
