Huggies And Dollar General Are Helping With Diaper Need This Month!

The holidays are all about family and giving. Spending time with your loved ones, creating new traditions, and helping out those in need. The holidays can be really hard for some families and it’s something I can understand because there was a year where that was me. I was a teen mom, going to school, and not working. I was getting some help from the government and thankfully there was a program that was giving out holiday food baskets and toys. I was so thankful for their help and all of the help they were providing to other families. Without organizations like that, a lot of families don’t have anything for the holidays.

Another thing families struggle with is diapers. Diaper need affects 1 in 3 U.S. families, but there are organizations out there that will help with diapers, like the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN). I told y’all about them and their wonderful work earlier this year, but I’m back to tell you about them again. For every pack of Huggies diapers purchased at Dollar General through December 31, 2017, Huggies No Baby Unhugged program will donate a day’s worth of diapers (up to 500,000) and Dollar General will donate $1 (up to $5,000) to the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN).

“Diaper need” is defined as the struggle to provide enough diapers to keep a baby or toddler clean, dry and healthy. In September 2017, the National Diaper Bank Network and Huggies announced a study, Diaper Need and Its Impact on U.S. Families, revealing that one-in-three U.S. families (36%) struggle with diaper need. As the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network since 2011, Huggies through its No Baby Unhugged program has provided ongoing support for the organization and has donated more than 200 million diapers and wipes, including critical donations during times of crisis, to those in diaper need.

So, we stopped into our local Dollar General and picked up a few packs of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers to help support this cause. I loved being able to help others and understand what a struggle diapers and the holidays can be. I try to give back as much as possible whether it’s through donating, supporting a company who gives back, or buying a product that also makes a donation. I then picked up a few toys to donate as well and I encourage you to do the same. Stop into your local Dollar General, pick up some Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers, and a new toy and help out someone else this holiday season. As for my daughter, she loves her Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers because of “the mouse”.
